I’m Gareth Bayliss, Taupo fly fishing guide and owner/ operator of Trout Hunting NZ. I am a passionate fly fishermen, fly fishing guide and adventure film maker. You can find me based in the central North Island of New Zealand – this is where my knowledge base is currently strongest and where I usually guide from. However, I am equally at home in the central South Island as this is where I grew up and cut my teeth on fly fishing.

Film making is also a huge passion of mine, it drives me to new places to find and document my Taupo fly fishing experiences
